Inoperable Vehicle Transport

Planning an auto transport for an in-op/non-running vehicle? EMV Transportationmakes this an easy process. We can properly load and unload in-op vehicles and transport your vehicle at your door. Our carriers are equipped with winches on their trucks and can transport any non-running vehicles with no problems. If you are planning to have your vehicle transported in an enclosed carrier, the auto transporter will generally have a lift gate on the truck making it simple and easy for loading and unloading. The lift gate mechanism keeps the vehicle controlled and stable while it is being loaded onto the carrier. Another advantage of lift gates is that we can effectively transport vehicles with little to no clearance, clearance as low as 2-3 inches, without the risk of damaging the undercarriage of the vehicle.

Just provide us with the length, width, height, and approximate weight. You can learn more about shipping oversize vehicles by visiting our specialized vehicle transport page. Is your inoperable vehicle a newly restored project car? You can transport inop vehicles enclosed. What Is Going to Determine the Cost to Ship My Inop Car?

Car shipping cost is one of the biggest concerns for most people shipping a car. Your cost is going to be based on many variables; the route, the distance, open or enclosed carrier, and the type of vehicle. But you shouldn’t be alarmed of the cost. The extra cost for non-running car shipping services compensates for the time and effort it will take our drivers to safely and efficiently load and unload your vehicle.
Roll, Steer & Break for Our Carriers

Even though we can transport non running vehicles, your vehicle needs to roll (inflated tires), steer, and break efficiently. In addition, our trucks need the necessary space to legally and safely load your inoperable vehicle (see more about our door to door auto transport service). We’ll need assistance at pickup and delivery locations to bring vehicle out to a safe and legal location where our truck can load/unload or a smaller tow truck must be provided to bring vehicle out to/from our truck. If vehicle does not roll and steer a forklift must be provided at pickup and delivery locations for loading/unloading. Be sure to advise our friendly transport specialist about the condition of your vehicle. Issues and additional fees may arise if you fail to inform ahead of time , for example; dispatching a carrier without the proper equipment, paying the assigned carrier for a dry running fee, delays, and fuel among a few. If you are not sure of the vehicle’s condition because you are not at the pickup location, we suggest to ask the releasing person to go out and test drive the vehicle in your behalf.
